Brett Beiersdorffer setup for Second Stage Production’s Beauty and the Beast at the Maria Regina School in Seaford, New York.

"One of my absolute favorite shows to play. I played this back in high school so I was familiar with the score. For this show I was the only drummer/percussionist so some of the original written instrumentation was not played. We had a keyboard player to add the bell parts.
I used the LP Double Sambago Bells for both the wood block parts and the two pitched temple block part. There was also a gong part where I used a china cymbal instead. Having the Miller Machine made it so easy to hit triangle beats during songs where you’re playing a steady beat and have to hit it quick. I also used a pair of sleigh bells that the french horn player gave me for this show. They were little but perfect for this production. The orchestra was set up in a room next to the stage and it was a very fun show to play.”
